Black bear tracks are found in many places where a baby is born or food is abundant; hunting is not encouraged there.
This species usually uses the same trail for many years and have convenient escape routes. They are crepuscular and are active mostly in the morning and in the evening, spending the daytime in the burrows, made in shallow holes with leaf litter.
