Black Bear Cubs
Black bear cubs are sometimes disturbed by people taking pictures or those hunting other game in the forest.
The baby is born in January while the female is in the den. The babies are born blind, hairless and helpless, but in 5 weeks they are strong enough to leave the den. They stay with the mother for 18-20 months and den with her next winter.
