Black Bear Food

In sites where black bear food is easily available, babies are more frequently seen, which allows to make a good photo gallery. In later summer the diet consists of berries, fruits, acorns and nuts, which allow to congregate much energy for winter hibernation. These animals also eat lemmings, mice and voles, if manage to catch them. Occasionally they prey on young moose, deer and sheep. This species is omnivorous and highly adaptable in their habits. In early spring they depend on the carrion of winter-killed animals; later on they rob eggs from waterfowl, catch fish, dig up roots and tubers.
